Most of you all know how important it is to be active in your community and to help others. Broker, owner Karen Smith of Beachy Beach Real Estate has taken this to new levels but creating the first official scholarship.  The Beachy Beach Community scholarship will be rewarded to a deserving student that excels in community service and that is a 2017  Bay County High School graduate with good academic standings.

Durning the planning of Beachy Beach’s Great American Tailgate Party. An event that featured the grand opening of the new neighborhood Plantation at College Point. Karen Smith got a great idea to turn this event into a fundraiser. While celebrating our communities favorite football teams/colleges, guest of the event were asked to donate to the Beachy Beach Community Scholarship. Whatever amount raised, Karen Smith would then match the funds and then some.

The scholarship was born. Students that voluntary work with the intent to help people in their community with good academic standings could apply for this scholarship and continue their education knowing they will continue to help others. This $1500 scholarship can be applied to a 2017-2018 academic year at Gulf Coast State College.

Beachy Beach Real Estate plans to grow this scholarship each year.

The deadline to apply is July 15, 2017. Please email to receive your application. Applications that are mailed in must be postmarked by July 15th.
